What is WestBEST?

What is WestBEST?

WestBEST (The West Boylston Educational School Trust) is a non-profit, tax-exempt educational  foundation created to provide financial assistance exclusively to benefit the West Boylston Public Schools.

The trust is managed by a board comprised of parents, teachers, community members, and a school committee member.

Each year, WestBEST supports a wide range of needs  at the Major Edwards    Elementary School and the Middle/High School  through generous donations from members of the community, as well as fundraisers like the father/daughter dance and the spring book fair.

WestBEST has been providing financial assistance to our schools for 20 years.
Last year due to your generous donations we were able to fund the following:
· video cameras for MHS foreign language video journals
· books to support a leveled reading library at Major Edward
· document cameras at both the elementary and middle/high schools
· gas law experiment equipment at the middle/high school
· white boards for first grade and high school math classrooms

This year, the goal of the Trust is to raise $10,000 to fund teacher initiated projects, purchase new classroom learning tools, and upgrade technology – all to directly benefit our students.

When you contribute to WestBEST, you help to ensure the highest quality education for our students, now and in the future.

No funds are used to pay salaries, stipends, or honorariums to trustees or volunteers. All proceeds are used to fund Trust activities, programs and materials for our students.
